weekly wrap up {31}

it's been so long but i will write as much as i can:

the swelling has gone down since we moved.  i don't know what changed but since we've moved i have ankles again.  the normal kind.  and my hands don't feel as puffy.  our first day here though my left ankle was noticeably swollen to a size quite a bit larger than my right. i don't think the swelling is gone, i just think it's been reduced.

i have found stretch marks.  not on my stomach though.  i found the little pinkish-purple things on my hips.  at first i was really bothered by this, but at this point i am glad they're not on my stomach.  and i had some there already from when i went through puberty and actually got hips.

my stomach is big now and in the way.  i tried getting into a sitting position from laying down last night and mike said to me that it looked like it took a lot of work.  it did.  it always does now.  and i have a few weeks to go still.

some lady, last week at the mall, asked me if i was having a boy.  i told her they told me it was a girl, and then she said turn to the side.  i did.  she said yup it's a girl.  then i asked how she knew and she said boys sit up higher and she had 3 of them so she would know.  mind you this was a complete stranger.  i am glad she decided to agree it was a girl because at this point we've acquired quite a few things for the little lady that wouldn't be so great for a little man.

now that the move is over i thought i would be taking more naps and resting all day long.  well, it seems that i am getting by just fine on 8 hours of sleep every night.

one of the coolest things about maryland is that they also have expectant mother parking.  usually at the front of parking lots in shopping centers.  i have been able to utilize this since being here.  as opposed to utah, where i have to fight off every other pregnant chick.  oh and i have seen only about 5 other pregnant ladies since i have been here.  most are minorities and much older than me.  it makes me feel very different.

i found a birthing center out here and will hopefully deliver the baby there.  i have been twice and still have questions but am glad to have found somewhere to have the baby.
