dear baby

i hope you love music as much as i do.
i hope you only know two volumes. loud. and. LOUDER.
i hope you yell in the car that you can't hear the music when your favorite songs come on.
i hope you dance.
i hope you are eclectic and appreciate everything.
i hope you don't mind if i want to go to concerts with you.
i hope you like church music, and i hope you feel the spirit when you hear a hymn.
i hope you learn to play an instrument.  i hope you keep up on it when you're older.  yes, a guitar or drums would be ok, but piano is a must.
i hope you like old rock and roll.
i hope you share your favorite bands with me and your dad.
i hope you like to listen to certain songs on full blast in pitch black.
i hope you love music as much as i do.

weekly wrap up {21}

my new favorite thing about being pregnant are the kicks.  i love it.  it's this little connection that i share with her.

this week i did yoga.  downward dog made me feel like i was going to pass out, so i modified quite a bit, but will try to go to yoga every week for the rest of my pregnancy.  i am doing this mostly to work on my breathing and relaxing techniques.  i also want to start meditating.  i have been opposed to taking child birth classes because i am not sure if they will work for me and i have felt that i can do it just fine on my own.

yesterday we went to the outlets in Park City and bought some summer clothes for next year.  we bought quite a few cute things and mike helped pick them out.  so, we didn't buy much pink.  his favorite purchase was a couple of shorts.  we bought a yellow and orange pair and they are 70's style athletic shorts. we'll definitely hit up the outlets again maybe this summer and maybe in the winter.  we weren't all that impressed with the stores for people our age.

weekly wrap up {20}

not much new here.  the morning sickness has definitely subsided in the last week or so.

the newest development though, is that i have started to feel her kicking and what not.  it started a few evenings ago, and i couldn't tell what was going on in there and so i concentrated and decided that it wasn't me so it must be her.  since then i have felt her almost every day.  she seems to be most active at night, and so far i only feel her when i am settled down.  if i am running around and doing things i don't feel her, but when i sit still or lay down on the couch then i can feel the little bumps.

i would say they feel like little bumps, from the inside.  it is definitely hard to describe and i guess you can only know what they feel like from experience.  it has been very exciting to feel her move, i can't wait until she's bigger and i can let mike feel her move also.
